I was born and raised in Columbia, MO, and my husband and I are happy to live in Columbia. Camping and spending time in the outdoors as a child has developed my sense of community and awareness of the natural environment around me. My favorite activities include gardening, volunteering to pick up trash with Missouri River Relief, kayaking on local waterways, and biking on the Katy and MKT trails. When my husband and I travel out of state, we focus on visiting State and National parks, collecting new stamps in our National park passport books. These activities have helped me to see how important it is to teach others about community, being a caretaker to our environment and striving to be their best self every day.
I have also continued my practice as a professional artist and believe this will inform my teaching. You can view my artwork and C.V. through the link below.
